Young women are at the heart of this charity's work, actively shaping and participating in its programs. Through their Young Women's Advisory Panel, comprising 30 young women with firsthand experience of low or no pay, they drive Young Women's Trust's initiatives, contribute to discussions, engage with the media, and share their thoughts on their blog. Our shared vision is clear: we aim to close the income gap between young women and young men. To make this a reality, we focus on two pivotal goals: increasing visibility, voice, and power for young women and fostering a more equitable world of work.
The impact of their efforts is palpable. Since the inception of their Work It Out service in 2014, they've supported a staggering 19,000 young women with coaching and job application feedback. A significant 56% of those who used these services reported an increase in their income a year later. What an incredible way to guarantee we are supporting the women of our future to their greatest achievements.
Empowering survivors of domestic abuse, Women's Aid is a national charity with over 45 years of experience in shaping and coordinating responses to domestic violence and abuse against women and children. Their enduring commitment to empowering survivors is awe-inspiring.
Founded during the women's movement of the '70s and '80s, Women's Aid arose from women's struggle against patriarchy, sexism, and male violence. Today, they adopt an intersectional approach to their work, standing with other feminist organisations in the battle against Violence Against Women and Girls.
